This masterly artistic decor will brighten and enhance your stay at the hotel site, open as it is, to the beautiful natural setting of the lake and the surrounding area.

For this hotel, Vacances Bleues has commissioned a set of works from Jean-Michel ALBEROLA entitled “Eclairage en Groupe” which is displayed throughout the hotel:
Two mural frescos in the main hall and the dining room.
Six paintings.
Six original lithographs for the bedrooms and meeting rooms to continue the theme on the large painted walls.
An original lithograph for the invitation cards to mark the inauguration of the hotel in 2006.
Three large gouaches on paper from the Vacances Bleues Collection.

At once mysterious and amusing, Jean-Michel Alberola’s works on display at the Villa du Lac call on us to reflect on the question: How can we live together ? How can we bond with others and the world which surrounds us?

The subtle and mischievous artist plays on the innocence of our inner child, obliging us to shift our viewpoint and question ourselves on our approach to the world and to painting itself. He does not give us an answer, but throws us a couple of clues …

Jean-Michel ALBEROLA is today one of the rare French artists celebrated both at home and abroad. He lives and works in Paris. His body of work, praised since its first appearance at ARC in 1981, is now on exhibition in many art galleries, institutions and collections throughout the world. His works have been on display in Dusseldorf, Haarlem, Brussels (La Verrière Hermès in 2006), Helsinki or Berlin as well as in the Georges Pompidou Centre (1993) at the Cartier Foundation (1995) or at the Museum of Modern Art in (1997). He is represented by Galerie Templon, and Item Editions (Paris).
